About me
This is Jingyun from China, and I feel so excited to be a part of Westminster. This is also my first year studying abroad. Everything around me is quite unfamiliar, but I think studying here is a great opportunity for me to explore more possibilities — both in my major and in myself.
Why I choose PR and Advertising
The reason why I chose PR and Advertising is that it aligns with my interests in K-pop and E-sports. When I was in high school, I was deeply attracted to K-pop culture — I couldn’t help buying albums and watching concerts. As time went by, I started to wonder how this cultural industry developed and why there was a continuous growth in its fans and audience. This major can help me learn more about the marketing and advertising theories behind it.
Moreover, with the rapid development of E-sports in China, I would like to draw more people’s attention to this new kind of sport and event. I believe the systematic knowledge in PR and Advertising will help me a lot in my future career path.
