Hi everyone! My name is Yuna, and I’m an exchange student from South Korea, currently studying at the University of Westminster.
I’m Korean, but I was born and raised in Japan, so I’ve grown up experiencing both Korean and Japanese cultures. I think having these two cultural backgrounds has given me a unique perspective on how people communicate and see the world.
Back in Korea, I’m majoring in Media and Communication, with a particular interest in advertising. I’ve also had the opportunity to work part-time on advertising production sets, which has made me even more interested in the creative side of the media industry.
One of the main reasons I decided to study abroad in London was to explore media and communication from a different perspective, improve my English, and experience life in a new environment. I’m still learning English, so studying in an English-speaking environment is definitely a challenge, but I’m really excited about it!
Through my studies here, I hope to deepen my understanding of media, discover new interests, and broaden my career opportunities in the future.
Outside of university, I love cooking (and, of course, eating!), discovering new restaurants and cafés, and capturing little moments with my film camera. I especially enjoy exploring new places and finding hidden gems, so I’m really looking forward to discovering more of London!
I’m excited to meet new people, share different perspectives, and learn together throughout this semester.
Looking forward to a great semester with everyone! 🙂
