Hi everyone! My name is Anastasia Vlassi and I’m currently a second year Digital Media and Journalism student at the University of Westminster.
I’m half Greek and half Russian but grew up here in England. I’m bilingual, fluent in both English and Russian and know some Greek. But I hope to become fluent in Greek as well!
Some of my hobbies include practicing yoga and pilates every single day, for both the physical and mental benefits. Another hobby of mine is baking, I’m always the one to bake my family members their birthday cakes and just sweet treats in general! I also enjoy vintage shopping as well as antique shopping and finding timeless fashion pieces in vintage/charity shops. I also love to travel, especially with my friends. My favourite place I’ve travelled to has to be Marrakech so far.
I chose this course as in the future I would love to be a journalist, specifically a fashion journalist. Due to this, my favourite part of this course is any written blog/magazine type of exercises that will strengthen my abilities for hopefully future editorial writing.
I’m very exited for this semester and for all the exiting opportunities!
