Hi everyone my name is Paris I’m 20 years old and I’m currently studying Digital Media and Journalism at the University of Westminster. I was born and raised in London and I am from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Outside of university, I enjoy watching movies and TV series, going out and doing fun activities with friends, such as going arcades and cinemas. I’m also a cheerleader which is something I really enjoy and I recently started learning how to bake. I’m still a beginner but its something I aim to get better at!
The reason why I chose to study Journalism is because I enjoy gaining insight on different people’s experinences, opinions and perspectives in life. I find it interesting that everyone has a story to tell and there is always something new to learn from others. I also think its a great way to connect with others through storytelling and giving people a platform to tell their stories. For me journalism is more than just reporting the news. It is a way of sharing peoples stories, exploring different peoples perspectives and most importantly, telling the truth. I hope to use my own stories to inform people, raise awareness of different issues and help readers understand the world around them.
As I continue my journey in journalism, I hope to develop my writing and communication skills and become more confident in sharing stories. I look forward to learning new things and challenging myself.
