Hi my name is Eniola, I’m a creative and I study digital media and journalism. My course allows me to venture out to a variety of avenues in order for me to gain knowledge and experience everywhere. I enjoy how beneficial it is as it pushes me to get my hands dirty when put to think on my feet.
During my time on this course we have studied an array of distinctive theories from professors who were based in the 18s and 19s. However one individual that stood out to me was Professor Goffman who was a Canadian sociologist in the 20th century, he unpacked in depth about the essence of social interactions and how people behave when communicating with each other in everyday life.
As a digital media and journalism student , it’s interesting because it helps me understand how people present themselves online along with the media’s perception towards others. In addition to this digital media allows people to even control the version of themselves that the world sees for this has increased awareness and identity.
